Martha Chess Phelps

Martha is an indie folk musician from Sydney’s inner-west. Her honest lyrics and folk-influenced vocals combine with a distinct rock flair, engaging listeners with a modern take on the classic singer-songwriter.

Martha emerged into the Sydney indie music scene as a young teenager, playing iconic inner-west venues and events including Newtown Festival, Marrickville Festival, Lazybones Lounge, The Bank Hotel and The Vanguard. Having spent the last few years honing her production and mixing skills, Martha is stoked to have released her first self-produced track, Never Be Enough, in March 2023. Gearing up for a big 2024, there’s lots more music to come!
